Last week I invited you to continue the practice of letting go of toxic, negative beliefs about that which you profess to "know" and instead-- to live, love and play in the mystery of life...How did it go?
Now it's time for you to begin creating...manifesting 2017.
Focus on what you wish to create with my Connect, Reflect & Redirect Practice!
Carve out one hour over the next 7 days to Connect, Reflect and Redirect:
First, find a place that nurtures you. It could be sitting up in your bed or at a local coffee shop. Put your phones on "DND" = do not disturb. Take 10-20 breaths and center yourself.
Next, sit quietly and reflect on the past year in the key areas of your life such as: health, relationship, career, life purpose, overall well-being.
As it relates to these areas, ask yourself questions such as:
What am I proud of?
What have I learned?
What am I grateful for?
What was challenging for me?
Where are my growth opportunities?
Write down anything and everything that comes to mind, as it comes. No judgment.
Based on your replies above, consider what you desire in 2017 in each of these areas.
Ask yourself questions such as:
What do I want more of?
What do I want to let go of?
What support will I need?
Write down your replies and choose one area you would like to focus on starting in January.
After you complete above, continue with the next set of steps here.
Living, Loving, and Playing in the Mystery
Last week I spoke about the exhaustion...depression...frustration that comes from the cycle of behavior where we are trying too hard to function in dysfunction. I shared how learned that it's possible (and absolutely essential!) to release ourselves from old patterns of being that imprison us with the belief that we have to do all the heavy lifting. I then led a call to help us release this pattern.
If you missed the call and would like a complimentary copy of the recording, please email me.
This week I invite you to continue the practice of letting go of toxic, negative beliefs about that which you profess to "know" and instead-- to live, love and play in the mystery of life...
"The scientist, unable to see light as anything other than a purely physical phenomenon, is blind to light." Masanobu Fukuoka
This quote reminds me how "negative beliefs" about what we think we "know" often result in divisiveness and energy drain! Being blinded by negative beliefs also results in us missing out on new and different experiences. For example, the Holiday season brings more social activity and I interact with people I have not seen in a long time. Sometimes I catch myself negatively thinking, "Oh, I know how this is going to go with 'so and so'." When I get trapped into believing what I think I know, usually based on a past experience, or a future projection, I end up missing out on the present and the possibility of a different outcome. The present is a gift.
So...what to do to stay in the present, the gift, the mystery ? For me it's 2 things. The first is movement- walking, yoga...spin class. Movement quite literally moves the energy! The second is stillness- meditation. Meditation slows me down enough to connect me back to myself and what's important.
I am always amazed how different I see and experience the world after I take the time to do these practices, daily. What occurs is always, always - yes, always transformational. My heart opens. My beliefs of what I think I know fall away. Once again I am washed clean...I am more spacious. I see with new eyes and stay open to other possibilities: joking with the sarcastic relative and having fun with it instead of bit*hing them out; taking a walk instead of eating another cookie; speaking my voice with respect and love instead of swallowing it.
What do I really know anyway?
And isn't it more fun to live, love and play in the mystery without having to know it/label it/fight it?
And do I really want the responsibility of knowing?? What if I am wrong!!?? Stress!!!!
Taking time for both movement and stillness helps me come back to myself and the true nature of life-- that life is a mystery. Each time I allow myself to come back, I fall more deeply in love with life and I have so much more FUN!
What brings you back to the mystery of life? Now do it, daily!!
Are You Tired of the Heavy Lifting?
For many years I expended far too much energy on learning how to "do better/be better" in the crazy-ness and sometimes dysfunction of living. I refer to this cycle of behavior where we are trying too hard to function in the dysfunction, as "doing the heavy lifting". Living this way for most of my life, I often felt exhausted and drained of energy. As a result, often I became resentful and depressed because I didn't have energy for what made me feel good. Thankfully, when I was introduced to shamanic energy healing, I learned of a different way.
I learned that it's possible (and absolutely essential!) to release ourselves from old patterns of being that imprison us with the belief that we have to do all the heavy lifting.
Heavy lifting patterns are learned as we go through life. These patterns are also inherited from our ancestors, society, etc. It's simply not true that we must suffer a life of heavy lifting.
Once I decided I would no longer live this way, I began the process of releasing these patterns. As I did, I made space for what I wanted instead. I began tapping into and seeding the energetic frequency of what I wanted in my life. As a result, today I no longer do heavy lifting. My energy is incredible and my path is one of ease, peace and JOY.
If you are tired of the heavy lifting, make today the day you choose to STOP it!
Put your choice into immediate action and either attend a live event or request a free copy of my recorded full moon celebrartion & releasing ceremony here.
Last week I invited you to play a game. If you missed it, here it is.
For those of you who played, were you able to uncover my intention?
My intention is to help you elevate your thoughts.
As you do, life around you will follow suit...you will create more beauty in all it's forms.
This week I invite you to play the game with others.
How? Think of someone who is either neutral to you or someone who is challenging...and write about them!
Notice what happens, without judgment.
Who is the Sister Act you ask?
Sam Desmond, Editor-in-Chief at HICONCEPT MAGAZINE shares more:
"Both published authors, sisters Christine (Stewart, Tabori, & Chang) and Stephanie (Thriving You, Thriving Life) have had divergent, but culminating paths. Extraordinary women, both Filardi sisters were deeply impacted by the unexpected death of their father in 2004. Rising from tragedy, Christine and Stephanie both started on their respective journeys towards self-acceptance and self-sacrifice for the well-being of others.
Excerpts from their books are accompanied by artwork that expands upon the Filardi sisters’ messages of optimism through diligence...continue reading
